Membership Classes & Fees – Individuals

Ordinary Membership

$24.00 year

Open to all residents over 14 years of age, of Postal Area 4885, given that:

  • Their official postal address is listed as being within 4885, and
  • They are recognised as being financial members.

Voting rights: 1 vote per Ordinary member at AGM, Special & General meetings.  

Volunteer Membership

$1.00 year

Open to those persons that meet the following criteria:

  • Are over the age of 65 years, or
  • Are permanently retired or incapacitated, and
  • Have a current email address and/or telephone^. 

^Postage charges will apply if email address or phone not available.

Voting rights: 1 vote per Volunteer member at AGM, Special & General meetings.

Group Membership

$36.00 year

Open to all groups located within Postcode 4885, given that:

  • The group’s official postal address is listed as being within 4885.
  • Some of the groups’ activities are conducted within postal district 4885.
  • The group must be deemed a non-profit group, and
  • The group is ascertained as being a current financial group.

Voting rights: 2 votes per group at AGM, Special & General meetings. 

Associate Group Membership

$24.00 year

May be open to any group that:

  • has a project or activity being conducted within Postal Area 4885.
  • The groups official postal address is (must be) outside of postal area 4885. 
  • The group must be deemed a non-profit group, and
  • The group is ascertained as being a current financial group.

Voting rights: 1 vote per group at AGM, Special & General meetings.

Non-Aligned Associate Group Membership

$18.00 year

May be open to any group or their representative that:

  • (a). Has a project or normal activity being conducted within Postal Area 4885.
  • (b). The group must be a local, state, or federal entity, or a section or branch thereof, or qualify as an approved group at ‘c’ below.
  • (c). Approved groups for ‘b’ above, are listed in the table below.

 (c). Approved groups for ‘b’ above: 

  • Australian Government Leichardt Electorate.
  • Australia Post Office.
  • Queensland Ambulance.
  • Queensland Government Agent.
  • Queensland Government Hill Electorate.
  • Queensland Police.
  • Queensland SES.
  • Queensland State Library.
  • Queensland State or Private school.
  • Registered Political Party.
  • Tablelands Regional Council.

Voting rights: There are no voting rights for this membership category.

Participation rights: Those persons representing these groups have a right to be recognised and heard at AGM, Special & General meetings.
